How do I get a sticker and print it?

The whole thing takes two minutes, and it's free.

  1. 1Sign up with your phone number — a code arrives on WhatsApp so we know the number is yours.
  2. 2Add your car and give it a name you'll recognise, like "the Lancer". The plate number is not required at all.
  3. 3On the car's page, tap "Download the printable sticker (PDF)".
  4. 4Print it and stick it on the front windshield with the code facing out.

The file contains a normal and a mirrored version, so you can also stick it from inside the windshield.

I scanned a code on a car — what happens now?

If you're the one standing at the car: no sign-up, nothing to install.

  • •A page opens with ready-made messages — pick the one that fits: blocking me in, lights on, about to be towed, and more.
  • •The owner gets the alert immediately, without ever learning who you are or your number.
  • •Leave the page open — if they reply, say "On my way", the reply shows up on the same page.

Neither of you sees the other's number, and the page expires on its own after an hour.

Alerts aren't reaching me

It's almost always one of these three:

  • •Notifications aren't enabled on this device yet: open settings, tap "Enable notifications", and allow them when the browser asks.
  • •Quiet hours are on: between 10pm and 6am there's no push and no WhatsApp, except urgent alerts. The alert still waits for you in the alerts list.
  • •That message type is muted: settings has a "Alerts without a notification" list — check the type you're waiting on isn't ticked.

If the push doesn't get through at all, we send a WhatsApp message instead — so make sure the number on your KLAKS account is the WhatsApp number you actually use.

I want to change my phone number

In settings, under "Phone number".

  1. 1Type the new number and tap "Send a code to the new number".
  2. 2A 6-digit code arrives on WhatsApp on the new number, valid for 5 minutes.
  3. 3Enter the code and tap "Confirm and change the number" — alerts go to the new number from then on.

You need the new number in hand right now: without the code, nothing changes.

Vacation mode — how do I pause my stickers?

Travelling, or just want to be unreachable for a while?

  1. 1In settings, tap "Pause all stickers" — every car stops at once.
  2. 2Anyone who scans the code gets a plain page with no details on it, and cannot send you anything.
  3. 3When you're back, tap "Switch all stickers back on" — same printed sticker, nothing to reprint.

To pause just one car, do it from that car's own page.

Privacy and my data

The least data we can hold, and nobody ever sees anybody's number.

  • •What we store: your phone number (encrypted), your car's name, and the alerts you received.
  • •What is never shown to anyone: your number, your name, your plate. The scan page carries no details about you.
  • •The only exception is one you switch on yourself: showing the last two plate digits so a scanner can confirm it's your car.
  • •Delete your account any time from settings: everything goes, and old alerts are detached from you.

We collect the least data we can and give you the right to erase all of it whenever you want — in line with Egypt's personal data protection law.

My sticker tore, or I want a new one

Two ways, each for its own situation:

  • •The sticker faded or tore: download the file again from the car's page and print it. Same code, everything keeps working as before.
  • •Someone is bothering you, or the code reached someone it shouldn't: tap "Change the code" on the car's page — the old code stops working entirely and you print the new sticker.

If you sell the car, change the code before you hand it over.

We keep adding new questions here as they come up.
